Response to DMCA Notices
Once we receive a valid DMCA request, we will:
- Review the claim
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
- Make a good faith effort to contact the user who posted the material
- Notify the user of the takedown and their ability to file a counter notification
We may also terminate repeat offenders when required by law.
How to File a Counter Notification
If your content has been removed and you believe it was taken down by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter notification. Your counter notice must include:
- Identification of the removed or disabled material and the location where the material appeared before it was removed.
- Your full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled due to a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district and that you will accept service of legal process from the person who submitted the DMCA notice.
- Your physical or electronic signature.

If your counter notice is valid, we may restore the removed content within ten to fourteen business days unless the original complainant files a court action seeking to prevent its restoration.
