Indian Railways to create revolution and transform in the transportation sector. The bullet train project will begin on september 14. The project connecting Mumbai and Ahmedabad.
The Prime Minister of India Naredra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will lay the foundation stone for the India’s first bullet train project.
“The commencement of work on the country’s first High Speed Rail (Bullet train) project will begin on September 14 in Ahmedabad,” Piyush Goyal ,Railway minister told reporters.
The estimated cost of the 508 km long Mumbai -Amhedabad High speed Railway project is near about Rs 1,10,000 crore.
Japan is helping with the amount of Rs 88,000 crore Out of this Rs 1,10,000 crore.
On the Ahmedabad-Mumbai route, total 12 stations have been proposed that include Mumbai, Thane, Virar, Boisar, Vapi, Bilimora, Surat, Bharuch, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad and Sabarmati.
The 508 km distance will be covered within 2hours and 7 minutes by the bullet train.
According to the report a total of 24 high-speed trains will be imported from Japan and then rest of the rakes will be manufactured in India.
