Bhubaneswar’s flyover collapsed on Sunday afternoon, where around 15 workers were working.
one person was killed and 11 people injured in Bhomikal, where the flyover was in under construction.
“During the plastering of the roof, the portion of flyover collapsed ” – An injured worker said, undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital.
The Chief Minister expressed his grief over the incident and announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for the next of the kin of the deceased and free treatment for the injured. He also conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family.
The chief minister said a deputy executive engineer and an assistant engineer have been suspended following the incident.

Officials in the probe panel have been asked to submit a report to the chief minister’s office within a week, official sources said.
